Dr. Jules Dhotel (1879 - June 16, 1967) wa born in France. A doctor by profession, but also a musician, sculptor and magician. He chaired FISM in 1947 and 1951.

He was the editor of "LeJournal de la Prestidigitation", the magazine for the "Associatio Syndicate des Artistes Prestidigitateurs (ASAP)".
