Magic Island of Houston Texas, which followed the first Magic Island in Newport Beach, California, was a nightclub dinner theater featuring magic and magicians that opened in 1984 as a private club.
Housed in a faux Egyption monument, it was closed in 2008 after fire and flood damage from Hurricane Ike.[1]
Banachek became the house mentalist there, performing close-up in a formal show setting, in late 1985.[2]
Performers have included: Scott Wells, Bob Knigge, Lance Burton.
