Magini (?-2000), stage name of professional magician Stanley Hammond of Ipswich, was a performer, columnist and restorer of magic props.[1]

Biography

Magini was a longstanding member of The Magic Circle and frequently contributer to the Magic Wand, Gen, and Abra. He helped form the Ipswich Magic Circle in 1928.[2]

He won the Sphinx Award for best trick published in the Sphinx magazine by a professional in 1940.

The Annual Close-up Competition of the Ipswich Magic Circle, starting in October 1997, presents the The Magini Shield to the winner in his honor.
