Malcolm David Picton Gilroy(1903-1952) was founder and past-president of the Malayan Magic Circle and charter member of the I.B.M. Singapore Ring 115.
Biography
Gilroy was an expert card fanner, and all-round magician. He was highly regarded among the members of the Singapore Ring 115.
He was awarded a Gold Star of the Magicians Club (London) for the work he did in promoting magic in Malaya.[1]
He died as a result of being struck by lightning as he sought shelter under a hut in a rainstorm at a golf course, just a day before his 50th birthday. [2][3]
