Morris "Moe" Seidenstein (1909-2003) was an early member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians ("IBM") and the Society of American Magicians in the late 1920's-early 1930's.

Biography

Seidenstein was a friend of Gene Gordon, was an early founder of IBM and writer for The Linking Ring and also a friend of John Mulholland, a writer for The Sphinx.

Some time between 1928-1929, he was working as an errand boy for a manufacturer of office equipment and supplies, where a few doors away he would eat with a fellow by the name of Bill Beatty, a magician. Shortly after that he went to an I.B.M. meeting of magicians and later became a member of both I.B.M. and S.A.M. He started attending their convention in 1929 where took first prize for the best card trick of the year for he "Moe's Look at a Card" trick.
