Nathan Dean, was an amateur conjurer and illustrator and editor of magic journals and books.

Biography
Worked for C. Arthur Pearson Ltd. as art editor. Dean contributed illustrations for The Magic Wand and other journals and books. A brilliant amateur conjurer and was an authority on the theoretical and historical aspects of magic. Also, was interested in the study of alleged occult phenomena, and gave valuable assistance in the detection and exposure of several self-styled Spirit Mediums.
