O'Quinn Cairo (c.1922-2000), a magician for over seventy years, was one of the first African American members of the International Brotherhood of Magician.
Biography
Cairo held I.B.M. number 50128 and was a member of Austin Ring 60 almost from its beginnings. He served two terms as Ring 60 president in the 1970's.
Also a member of the Texas Association of Magicians, he was named "Magician laureate of the State of Texas" by Governor Bill Clements in 1981.[1]
