Professor Beedie was an old school professional magician who for almost fifty years toured the highways and byways of his native land performing in schoolrooms, small halls and private houses.
He moved to United States in 1887, at the age of nineteen, and toured there for ten years as an assistant to Alexander Herrmann and with the Barnum & Bailey circus.[1]
Beedie returned to Scotland where he worked as a magician until his death.[2]
