Raymond Joseph Grismer (1927-2010) was a pianist and amateur magician.
Biography
Grismer was a gifted jazz pianist and performed in a jazz trio. He would usually do a little magic for folks (card effects, mentalism and ring and string ) during the breaks between sets.
Around 1969, he traded magic lessons for music lessons with his friend Dai Vernon, when the professor decided he wanted to learn to play piano.
Grismer is credited for the revival of Finger Ring and Rope routines and as an inspiration for the Rhythm Count.[1]
His daughter Vicky married Jeff Busby.[2][3]
