Rev. John C. Bieri (c.1872-1951), a minister of the Philadelphia (Pa.) Conference of the Methodist Church, was an accomplished magician and used his magical talents in drawing object lessons for children.
He had long been interested in magic and had a large collection of equipment that he had gathered during his travels.
Also known as the flying parson, he was one of the first to perform a marriage ceremony in a plane while it circled City Hall.
