Rick Moore (1946-2000) performed for more than 15 years as "Fuzzy the Clown."

Biography

Moore first began to entertain when, at age seven, he began doing balancing tricks.

He volunteered for duty in Vietnam and was assigned to I Corps. After coming back he suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Through entertaining, Moore found a measure of peace. Becoming Fuzzy the Clown, he entertained audiences with card tricks, sleight of hand, and magic. His wife, Myra, joined his act as Sparkles. They performed throughout the Midwest at birthday parties, schools, and charities. They started Lee's Summit Knights of Columbus Clown Club, which trained people in the tradition of clowning and magic.

Moore died from cancer, the result of complications due to exposure to Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam.[1]
