A retired Solicitor and Crown Prosecutor Roger, he has written several books on the history of magic with particular emphasis on [[Houdini]], [[Walford Bodie]] and [[Chris Van Bern]]. Dr. Roger Woods AIMC* is the President (2015-2016) of the Modern Mystic League (Blackburn & District Society of Magicians), Lancashire, England and a Past President of the Northern Magic Circle.[1]

Biography

Dr. Woods has been interested in magic for over 50 years. A retired Solicitor and Crown Prosecutor he has written several books on the history of magic with particular emphasis on Houdini, Walford Bodie and Chris Van Bern. He has given many lectures and presentations on these topics.

Dr. Woods is also an Associate of the Inner Magic Circle (with silver star), an Order of Merlin Shield member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Cavendish Knights of Close Up Magic, and the Manchester Circle of Magicians.
