Setanta (c.1892-1968) was the stage name of Edward "Ned" Thorpe who was founder and first President of the Society of Irish Magicians in 1939.
Biography
He was elected Chair of the Society of Irish Magicians again in 1966.
Setanta was active doing a children's shows up until his death at the age of 75.[1]
