Ted Banks (?-1942) began with the Fred Karmo troupe in vaudeville troupe in 1910 and played in companies with Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel.[1]

Biography

In 1911, the company brought the play, "A Night in an English Music Hall," to the United States. When Chaplin entered motion pictures, Mr. Coppin formed the "Keystone Trio" with Stan Laurel and a girl.[2]

He met Blackstone and eventually became his stage manager in 1923. He also worked at times for Abbott's.

He died of a heart attack the day after the famous fire evacuation of Blackstone's audience from the Lincoln Theater in Decatur, Illinois.[3]
