The Deceiver's Codex - Card Basics is the first (Volume 1) in a series of books related to magic, called "The Deceiver's Codex" as a whole. The Deceiver's Codex was written by Mark Thomas in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area in 2017 and was published by Blurb.

The Deceiver's Codex - Card Basics is the starting point in which Thomas shares his two decades of experience in card magic.

One of the most unusual aspects of The Deceiver's Codex is that it has various secret codes, in the form of what seems to be symbols or odd text, printed throughout.
