W.J. Gallagher, an Egyptian Government official, was an amateur magician that did a right, mild comedy act.

His favorite was was his Gallagher Spirit Test.[1]

In a letter to Abracadabra in the January 8th, 1955 issue, Gallagher had some harsh things to say to those who wear a fez in their magical acts.

His effect "Draw Coincidence" in Genii Vol. 1, No. 9, May 1937 was the Genii's Tri-Yearly "Twenty-Five Dollar Winner")
