William (Billy) Harkness was named by Bess Houdini as the "Canadian Houdini."
He served in World War I with the Black Watch and Highland Light Infantry, and moved to Canada in 1922.
Along with his escapes, he was known for his manipulations and comedy situations.[1]
He attended and performed at many P.C.A.M. conventions.[2]
