The Magician was a monthly periodical news bulletin by Jack Barrows which was originally received by a few local young magicians in the early 1970s, then starting being sent all over the United States.

The bulletin contained useful tips, tricks and hints, local and national news, convention reviews, and possibly the first ever magic center fold.

It ran for five years until its last issue on December, 1975.

Barrows stated he reached his goal over 700 subscribers but it just got too time consuming and expensive.

He later revived it as The Magician Again.
