Started off working as a 'barker' for a side-show at the Westminster Aquarium then worked for Jennings, a showman who specialised in illusions.
But, found success as a comedy, card magician playing every important tour in the UK and other countries, receiving salaries that no other card magician had been known to get.

Biography

He developed a presentation of the Die Box, which many use today, in 1907.
