Robert "Bob" Doidge (1892-1967) was a professional mentalist performing as "Calostro", as well as a collector, author, and publisher.
Biography
Doidge was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, in which he he served during the First World War.[1]
He was listed in the first issue of the Linking Ring as one of the original 20 members of the I.B.M. He later became member number 515 of the S.A.M.
Doidge continued to write articles and ideas into the 1930s for Theo Annemann's The Jinx magazine [2] He was still active in magic in 1959.[3]
At one time, Doidge was suspected of being Oudini, because of the number of copies of the 1909 Oudini book "The Great Mystery" he had available to sell.
