Card Stabbing is a class plot in card magic in which a chosen card is found by stabbing a knife or some similar object into the deck.

The card is found either impaled on the knife or beside the knife by separating the pack (some times referred to as the Stabbed Deck).

It's the close-up version of Card Sword which is a very old trick. It seems to be first explained in Testament de Jérome Sharp, page 172 by Henri Decremps (1785).
