Shigeo Takagi (1930 - 1991) was a great scholar of magic.

Biography

He bagan in magic at the age of 7, under the tutelage of Takomatsu.

Takagi worked at Japan's version of the Library of Congress and translated many Western magician books into Japanese.

He was an author of dozens of books, not only on magic but also gambling, puzzles, hypnosis, psychology, memory and philosophy.

He invented the Solid Cup in 1977.
