Nouvelle Magie Blanche Dévoilée, Physique Occulte, et Cours Complet de Prestigitation by J. N. Ponsin was published simultaneously in Reims and Paris in two volumes in 1854.
This book was used by Prof. Hoffmann, together with that of Robert-Houdin, when collecting material for Modern Magic. A translation of those parts of this work not used by Hoffmann was published in 1937 by S.H. Sharpe under the title Ponsin On Conjuring.
