Eagle Magic was founded in 1899 by Collins Pentz and is the oldest continuously running magic store in the U. S..[1]

History

Collins Pentz ran the store until he died in 1956. The shop was willed to his salesperson, Doris Davids, who had worked there since the 1930’s. Doris retired and sold out to Todd Lidholm in 1971.[2] Todd owned the store for 5 years before selling it.

Larry Kahlow first visited the store at age eight, began working there as a demonstrator in 1970 and purchased it from Lidholm in 1976. He has owned it ever since and operates it with the support of his wife, Jennifer.[3]
