Vanishing Deck is a classic plot in card magic in which the entire deck of cards vanish or leaves one card behind.

Many versions have been developed, going back as early as 1868 by Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin. See Hoffmann's translation of The Secrets of Conjuring and Magic by Robert-Houdin - 1878)
