"Big Daddy Cool" John B. pyka is a professional entertainer based in Nashville, TN. He is a professional singer, actor and magician, and blends genres to create something uniquely different. His professional credits include Broadway, TV, and Film. Highlights include MTV's Spring Break, A&E's An Evening At The Improv, PBS' Magical Time Travelers, the Broadway musical Closer Than Ever, Carnegie Hall, and a very successful four year tour of his original magic musical Swingin' At The Roxy.

In 2005 he was an IBM Gold Medal Finalist. Other finalists that year were Dan Sperry, Arthur Trace and Farah Segal.

John is the author of Theatrical Magic: The Book published in 2007 by Leaping Lizards Magic. He offers workshops and lectures based ont he material in the book. As a writer he authors a regular column called "Tricks of my Trade" for the Nashville One Paper, and hosts a podcast devoted to the performance of magic.

John also serves as a private coach, director, and creative consultant. He has consulted Angela Funovits of NBC's Phenomenon, and college circuit superstar Jason Micheals. He additionally offers a Magician's Assistant School workshop and a Directing Intensive workshop.
