Lu Brent (November 24, 1903 - ?) was born Boleslaw Lubrant. The name Lu Brent came accidentally, from a clerk's mistake, when Lu enlisted for six years in the Army, in 1921. Lu liked the mistake and kept it.
He was an originator coming up with new ways to present other magicians' effects.
His first trick appeared in The Sphinx of 1927 called 'Matchik'.
