Holmes' Magical Notes and Comments was the successor to Holmes' Trade Sheet, a house organ for Donald Holmes' mail order business out of Kansas City, Missouri.

"Donald Holmes Trade Sheet" became "Holmes Magical Notes and Comments" with issue no. 5.[1]
