Robert "Bob" Doidge (1892-1967) was a professional mentalist performing as "Calostro", collector, author and publisher.
Biography
Doidge was also a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps.[1]
He was listed in the first issue of the Linking Ring as one of the original 20 members of the I.B.M. He was still active in magic in 1959.[2] He later became member number 515 of the S.A.M.
At one time, he was suspected as being Oudini, because of the number of copies of the Oudini book "The Great Mystery" he had available to sell. However, John Henry Grossman wrote in his MUM "Ask the Doctor" column that Walter B. Gibson informed him that Doidge told him that Frank J. Rowan, who lived near Haverhill, Massachusetts (was actually Oudini.[3]
