De Kolta Chair or Vanishing Lady illusion was created by Buatier De Kolta and presented for the first time in march 1886.

A woman seated in a chair is covered by a large cloth would appear to vanish in an instant as the cloth was whisked away AND vanishes too.

It was described by Hoffmann in More Magic (1890).
