International Association of Magicians was formed by Jim Crumpton ("Zandor the Magician") in California after retiring from performing.

The club boasted has about 200 members by 1980s and met in Lynwood, California twice a month. The meetings were devoid of any business, and only magic is permitted.

The members put on two annual shows, to finance the club's lectures and other expenses[1]

They published Wizard's Words magazine and the International Association of Magicians Newsletter.
