Fred G. Taylor (1910-1995) was a playing card collector.
Biography
Taylor graduated Columbia University and entered the field of radio broadcasting. Taylor held many jobs throughout Europe before embarking on a diplomatic career. Posted in Germany and Czechoslovakia during his tenure with the government, he turned his travels into a unique opportunity to collect playing cards.
Taylor was a frequent contributor to The New Phoenix during the era of Don Tanner's editorship. In addition to publishing tricks in the magazine, Taylor was on the art staff and created a series of one-panel "Mr. Ogg" comics.
