Cecil Heygate (c. 1899-1974), a lifelong member of the Mahatma Magic Circle in Liverpool and other Societies, was a creative magician starting with may effects created in the early 1900s.
Biography
He was a regular attendee of the I.B.M. conventions in England.
He had a winter home in Spain. In 1974, he returned from to be taken ill in London and rushed home by his wife. He collapsed with a cerebral haemorrhage.[1]
He had many effects published in the The Magic Wand when George Johnson was editor.
The Mahatma Magic Circle presented an annual "Cecil Heygate Shield" award for inventive magic.[2]
