Known forPerforming Vanishing Bird Cage as The "Cowboy Magician"

Del Adelphia (1868-1917) performed with long flowing hair and in buck-skin costume as the "Cowboy Magician."

He performed at the eleventh annual SAM banquet in New York City. His signature tricks were the Vanishing Bird Cage, which he would often repeat, and the egg bag. Harry Blackstone Sr. bought the Vanishing Bird Cage illusion after Del passed away.[1][2]

By 1913, Adelphia has discarded his cowboy dress, wore his hair short, and had his own workshop in Seattle, Washington. His assistants were his wife, daughter, and two sons.[3]
