Goodliffe's Magic Monthly, "A Magazine for the Amateur Magician," was a Magic Periodical by Goodliffe that began with January 1947.[1] He got quite a bit of controversy for publishing a magic magazine aimed towards the general public. It eventually had to stop after eight issues due to the paper rationing.
Goodliffe was its editor throughout its lifespan. Each issue hit the newsstands on the 16th of the month, except during the spring of 1947 when a fuel and paper shortage in England forced a delay. A complete file consists of the following issues:[2]
- No. 1, January 1947
- No. 2, February 1947
- No. 3, March 1947
- No. 4, April 1947
- No. 5, July 1947
- No. 6, August 1947
- No. 7, September 1947
- No. 8, October 1947
There was also an American counterpart called "Magic is Fun".
