The magician or his assistant enters a cabinet which is standing on a slender post above the stage. The box is covered, hiding the person except for their hand which extends out from a hole in the front. The hand in the box grabs one end of a curtain. While the other person holds the other end and steps behind the curtain, almost instantly they switch places. As an additional finale, the box can be covered briefly again to produce a third person. 
Suspended Animation was designed in 1998 by John Taylor and then built in 2000 by Chris Murphy of Oz Illusions in Australia, for Taylor's touring show in Japan. It was then released and sold to the magic community through Bill Smith/Magic Ventures.
