The Encyclopedic Dictionary of Magic contains the vocabulary of conjuring, recording 3,210 words, terms, and stock phrases used by English speaking conjurers from 1584 to 1988.

The first edition was limited to 500 numbered copies and published by Jeff Busby Magic in two volumes. Volume 1 containing A - K and "the Language of Magic". Volume 2 with L - Z and "Bibliography and Sources".

A deluxe, signed, hardbound version was also released that was limited to 50 copies. The books were numbered in the order they were reserved, so it was possible to have a deluxe version numbered higher than 50.

It won The John U. Zweers Scholarship Award.
