This podcast is totally free for everyone to enjoy. This is provided to you out of love and respect for our art of magic and intended to become an archive of history and voices of magicians past and present. It has been running continuously since August 2011 with weekly episodes and often posting daily reports from magic conventions. Each week magicians talk about a variety of subjects from close-up to stage, cruise ships to casinos, trade shows to birthday parties, and seances to magic history. Subjects discussed run the gamut from stories and advice to marketing and character development. In 2024, the Academy of Magical Arts recognized the Magic Word Podcast with a Special Fellowship Award. In 2025, F.I.S.M. created new awards for online content and creators. Scott received nominations for "The Best Magic Podcaster" for The Magic Word Podcast and "The Best Magic Newsletter" for his weekly "podletter" (newsletter). The Magic Word Podcast
