Valeria Kasfikis
Biography
Valeria was a stage illusionist active in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s. She was the widow of illusionist Anastasios Kasfikis.
Following Kasfikis’s death in an accident in Spain in 1934, Valeria assumed control of the touring illusion show and continued its performances, transitioning the production from circus venues to vaudeville theatres. Contemporary accounts reported that although the size of the show was reduced, its presentation was refined and well received.
Valeria toured for several years in Europe before disappearing from the scene during the Second World War. After the war, she reappeared in Buenos Aires as part of the Chang Show, performing under the name “Cleopatra.”
