Better Magic Club was started in October, 1946 by Collins Pentz in Minneapolis, Minnesota for magicians and magic dealers who wished to keep posted on magic facts to help put magic on a higher level.

Members reported misrepresented tricks and worthless junk where it became available to all members via its quarterly Better Magic News.
