Dom DeLuise (1933 - 2009) made his TV debut on The Garry Moore Show as "Dominic the Great", a lovably inept magician. TV producer Greg Garrison hired DeLuise to appear as a specialty act on the popular Dean Martin show. DeLuise ran through his magic act gone wrong "Dominick the Great" routine with host Martin as a bemused volunteer from the audience. The show went so well that DeLuise was soon a regular on Martin's program.
He was also a member of the Magic Castle.
