Theodore S. Blakesley M.D. (?-1942) was an amateur magician in Kansas City who applied the natural sciences to produce magical effects in electricity, light and acoustics.
Biography
He created version of The Talking Teakettle, the Talking Skull, the Floating Ball, and the Transformation of a Wax Figure to a Living Woman. He was a friend of David Abbott.
With the assistance of his wife, they performed telepathic and spiritualistic phenomenon producing seeming supernatural effects.[1]
He was a charter member and the first president of the Robert Houdin Club formed in 1911.
