Innovations, a new series of close up miracles was a magic magazine written by Charles Reynolds from 1972 to 1976. They were illustrated by Al Cooper (1 and 2) and then Richard Kaufman (3).
Consisting of only three issues, Innovations explained effects by Derek Dingle. The methods were purposefully simplified from Dingle's original handlings to increase sales. The actual versions as performed by Dingle are described in The Complete Works of Derek Dingle (Kaufman, 1982). The handlings described in Innovations have never been reprinted.
